#MeatMatters Challenge

This week in the crazy household we have taken part in the #MeatMatters challenge.

We have made two quick and easy dishes using Lamb and Beef, both of which are naturally rich in protein.

Lamb provides 4 essential vitamins that help reduce tiredness and fatigue~something I think is helpful for everyone with the busy lives we lead today.

Beef provides eight essential vitamins and minerals which support good health and well being, another bonus and a great reason to try new recipes to entice the whole family.

First up we made Beef Quesadilla’s

You will need~

*Soft tortilla wraps

*Beef strips

*Red and green peppers

*Cheese~thinly sliced.

Firstly gently brown the onions, peppers and mushrooms in a pan, then add the beef strips and cook until thoroughly cooked. Line another frying pan with a soft tortilla wrap, add the beef and vegetables, cover those with the sliced cheese and top with another soft tortilla wrap. Press down gently and heat lightly until the cheese starts to melt and seals the wraps. Turn the wraps and once lightly browned on each side, remove and cut into quarters, serve with salad or sides of your choice.

Now for the lamb, I decided to go for a twist on a classic dish and made Chilli Shepherds pie.

You will need~

*Lamb Mince

*Baked Beans

*Fresh Chillies

*Chopped tomatoes

*Potatoes (butter and milk for mashing)

Peel and chop the potatoes, put on to boil whilst the lamb is cooking.

Gently cook the onions until softened and add the chillies and lamb mince.

Cook until thoroughly cooked, add the beans and tomatoes, stirring well.

Remove the cooked lamb and place into an oven proof dish. Mash the potatoes with the butter and milk then cover the mince and pop under the grill for 5~10mins until golden brown.

There you have it two quick, easy and tasty meals providing various vitamins and minerals for you and your family including~Vitamins b6 and b12, pantothenic acid, niacin and zinc.

Winter~love it or hate it there is no escape from it.

One thing that is never welcome is dry skin, particularly when exposed to the elements.

Here at the crazy household we have been taking the #MyAquaphor Challenge and testing out Aquaphor soothing skin balm.

Aquaphor is a soothing skin balm which can be used on the body, face and even babies bottoms!

This balm is easily absorbed by the skin and is so versatile one tube is all you need.

I have kept this is my handbag and used it on both my hands and face with fabulous results.

It leaves your skin feeling protected with a soothing barrier too.

It has even gained approval from my teenager who has happily been using it daily to keep her hands soft and smooth.

The versatility of Aquaphor means that you can carry it with you and use it as part of your daily routine.

Just like that the summer holidays seem to of faded like a distant memory.

One thing that is very fresh though is the back to school chores and ever continual battle of keeping the uniforms smart and clean.

With a football mad boy in the house, I can almost guarantee stains appearing on shirts, trousers and pe kit on an almost daily basis!

We have been trying out Ace stain remover, and I am genuinely pleased with the results.

I love the two different ways to tackle the stains 1. A pretreatment spray which is used before washing and 2. an inwash formula that you use directly into the washing machine. Ace is formulated for colours so it keeps clothes clean and bright no matter what they have had thrown at them or Indeed down them during the day!

I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that you can also use Ace for day to day cleaning too.

I even tried it in the bathroom and was thrilled with the result, which was long lasting clean and freshness.

I love the fresh smell of Ace and the fabulous cleaning power at removing stains. It’s versatility for use around the home too makes it an all round win for me here in this crazy household.❤X

Rustlers Burger Hacking Challenge

Most days are busy, there’s always something going on and Mondays are particularly manic.

It’s swimming lessons tonight and that means trying to get dinner sorted before we go otherwise it’s too late to eat.

Tonight we gave Rustlers southern fried chicken burgers a whirl, taking just 90 seconds in the microwave proved to be a real time saver.

The children where thrilled to be able to have burgers especially on a night when time is particularly limited.

I decided to add sweet chilli sauce to mine (a firm favourite)the children chose salad and waffles to accompany there’s.

I set out the food and they loved serving themselves and adding what they wanted.

It was clean plates all round another thing that’s guaranteed to make me smile.

So If like me your keen to save time and try something new then give Rustlers a whirl~you can be as adventurous as you like, add your own twist and make meal times fun and healthy whilst saving yourself time too~I make that a win~win dinner time. ❤️x
