Date Night

So last night was date night. Of course I stuck to my usual tradition of always being late, I couldnt decide what to wear and after emptying my wardrobe trying to find the top I was looking for time was fast running away from me.

I was so hot but not in a good way~more the temperature way as in so hot I feared my make up might melt off of my face!

Anyway after leaving the house 30mins later than I had planned and getting stuck in traffic I made it.

We had a lovely evening, despite the restaurant we planned to go to being closed for its christmas do!

I didn’t take a picture last night so am sharing a different one of us.

Happy #humpday everyone, keep smiling.❤x

Last first date.

Exactly one year ago, ,I couldn’t find my shoes, didn’t know what to wear, was running late and took the longest route ever as I was about to embark on my last first date.

Exactly one year ago I didn’t know this was to be my last first date but as fate would have it that’s exactly what it was!

May 20th marks the start of a journey, our journey together. So much has happened in this time, it’s gone so quick, the saying goes time flies when your having fun and its certainly fun with lots more exciting adventures to come.

I’ve found my soul~mate,my best friend, all thanks to that ‘crazy little thing called love’ ❤️x

It’s Tuesday and right now there is a technology ban in this house~for the kids not me!

All things considered it’s calm and quiet, so I’ve decided to sneak off upstairs and have 5 minutes of peace to have a bath and get ready.

Yes get ready because it’s date night wahoo~it’s been a very busy few weeks and tonight we are child free. As much as I love all four kiddiwinks it’s also nice to just have some time to chill and relax together.

Cue the usual stress of not having anything to wear etc, etc. I’m not looking forward to the task of emptying out my wardrobe only to end up wearing the same thing.

All I do know is that I’ll be wearing heels~with what though is a different matter!

On that note I’ll shall head off to begin the dreaded task and try not to be late for dinner~wish me luck.❤️x

As I’m sure you’ll all very much aware it’s Sunday night already and the end of another weekend.

It’s been a very lovely weekend for us, we were lucky enough to have a night away last night and stayed at a nice hotel.

It was just so nice and relaxing, really nice to have some time on our own to recharge our batteries and chill out.

The view from our room was beautiful, seeing the pier all lit up in the evening was fab and watching the sun rise over it this morning was just stunning.

We braved the strong wind which was freezing and managed to walk along the pier without getting blown away! This was followed by a wander into town for some yummy dinner.

Whilst I managed to finish my Prosecco with raspberry and mint, the pizza beat me (it was delicious though). We headed back to our room for coffee and a box of Toffifee (I had to double check the spelling for that hee hee), which we spotted whilst out and decided we had to have.

After a very nice breakfast we headed home~back to reality with a bump, ironing and fixing the car, no rest for the wicked hey!

I’m now keeping a close eye on the weather and the promise of snow~the sledges are easily accessible in the garage and ready to go at a moments notice should the need arise! I guess as with everything we will just have to wait and see.

Happy Sunday everyone. ❤️x

Colourful Sunday

We have been painting today, and theres no prizes for guessing who knelt down into the paint and managed to turn her jeans into an attractive shade of violet!! After a soak in the sink and a wash with stain remover I’m hoping that they’ll be fine once dry.

Now the walls are dry it’s clear we did a good job and despite also decorating the carpet slightly it’s certainly looking nice.

After a big roast dinner followed by me eating far too many chocolate cookies it’s time for some relaxation before a very busy week commences~also known as half~term.

I’m looking forward to being off however there’s certainly no rest for the wicked because despite there being no work or school tomorrow we still have an early start as my girl goes on her very first Duke of Edinburgh hike at 8.45am and yours truly has to drop her off and collect her afterwards!

Still there’s lots of things to look forward to including a trip to the cinema, go ape and of course a surprise for date night on Tuesday.

Happy Sunday everyone.❤️x

There’s much excitement in the crazy household as I’ve been told that Tuesday night is date night and we are off out but I don’t know where!

I’ve spent this afternoon trying to find an outfit and in doing so rediscovered my hatred of changing rooms~urgh as soon as you get undressed your faced with your body from all angles whether you like it or not and quite frankly I do not!!

I then had that delightful feeling of trying on a dress and not being able to reach the zip to undo it, the kids had gone off to another shop and I seriously debated phoning my daughter to come and rescue me, fortunately I somehow managed to reach the offending zip and remove the dress.

I couldn’t find what I was looking for but never mind it was worth a try, I think I’ll continue my search online, at least then I don’t have changing room mirrors to contend with.

Happy Friday everyone, I for one am very happy that it’s the weekend~now where’s the wine?! Hope your all having a good one.❤️x

Wednesday Woes

As I’m sure your all aware today is Wednesday also known as #humpday it may not be Friday but at least it’s in sight.

Last night we managed to escape without the kids and had a trip to the cinema for ‘date night’. The film was very good and the company was fab.

This morning having dropped the kids off at school I found myself stuck behind a dustbin lorry~not an ideal situation especially when the car was running on fumes quite literally so I didn’t have the fuel, time or patience for a diversion. Thankfully I made it to work all the while watching the fuel gauge get nearer and nearer to non~existent!

This afternoon was the usual rushing around~ kids had the dentist, then a trip to Tesco was needed, followed by cooking a dinner that no one liked including me~marvellous!

Still despite being tired after a second wind I hoovered and mopped the kitchen floor before grabbing a coffee and plonking my backside on the sofa where I would quite happily stay although I fear I could easily fall asleep if I don’t get moving.

So there you have it another Wednesday done and dusted, hoping you’ve all had a good day.❤️x
