Parent life

When you confiscate the teenagers phone and get constantly reminded by them that you have done so!

So far the conversations are going some thing like this~

‘What time do you finish your club after school?’
‘ Well it should be about 4.30pm but might be earlier or later, obviously I won’t be able to let you know as I don’t have my phone.’

‘ What time is Dad picking you up later?
He said he would text me and let me know but obviously I haven’t had my phone so…..’

So far this is my personal favourite ‘Have you done your revision for your test?’
‘No because EVERYTHING I need for that is on my phone which I don’t have.
Oh ok and you have no other means of getting the information that you need?’ ‘No of course not!’
‘No worries then I will just phone the school and explain the situation about you being phoneless and why you are in fact without said phone and maybe your teacher could help you??’

‘Urgh Muuuummmmmm!!!! Its fine I will manage!’

Funny that I thought you might.
Teenagers hey.❤ x

2018

I can honestly say that 2018 has been the year with the biggest highs and heartbreaking lows.I will be taking the best memories into 2019 and holding on tight to them, whilst keeping them close to my heart.

If this year has taught me anything,it is that life can change in the blink of an eye.
Always try and live with no regrets, love well and be happy, surely life is too short and too precious for any thing else.

As one year draws to a close and another one begins, lets hope 2019 is a good one.

Wishing you all a new year that is full of happiness.

See you later 2018 ❤x

Mini adventure

Wow what a weekend, it’s gone by in an absolute flash. Mind you it’s been a busy one. On Saturday we went on a ‘mini’ road trip and when I say ‘mini’ I mean it quite literally. This is because my wonderful other half felt the need to purchase a classic Mini because having 4 vehicles isn’t enough hee hee.

So we set off on a 3 hour round trip to collect it.

Today has been just as hectic as I decided to tackle Ads bedroom, small it may be but believe me it had plenty of stuff in it. At one stage I could feel myself losing the will as every available floor space upstairs soon became covered with boxes, bin liners and charity bags.

We found more clothes under the bed than in the wardrobe and had a few sentimental moments with old pictures and toys.

Finally it was complete and I am now left with several bin bags that won’t fit in the bin, several bags for the charity shop, oh and of course several loads of washing~thanks son!

This afternoon we escaped the tidying up and headed for the seafront with Mum and Dad. It was lovely and sunny so we stopped for ice creams and of course coffee. Although I could of sat and gazed out at the sea all afternoon, all too soon it was time to go home via the shop as I still haven’t been food shopping oops!

After dinner and the usual Sunday night rituals and obliqitaory last minute homework~this boy is so unorganised who could he possibly take after?! I am now relaxing with a cheeky cider and having a think, just a little one about Christmas!

Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you have had a fabulous weekend.❤x

Birthday Girl

Having just got used to having a teenager in the house~somehow another year has passed and she’s now 14yrs old!

14~the years are whizzing by so quick, it makes you want to slow time down just a little, slow it down and really appreciate it, each and every moment.

So here’s wishing my big girl a very happy birthday she may be the eldest and be growing taller than me every day but she’ll always be my little helly bear with the big heart whom I am very proud of and always will be.❤x

Photographs and Smiles

I love photographs they bring amazing memories that we keep tucked away in our hearts and minds back to life again.

I love how they transport you back in time to places you may not have thought about for some time, days, weeks even years.

They can bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face just from having a quick glance.

The saying goes that a picture speaks a thousand words and I believe that is so so true.

Today I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures it makes me happy to look at it.

I think this picture says it all~he makes me smile everyday even if I don’t feel like smiling.

Happy Tuesday everyone.❤x

Our~Time

Life is busy, lets face it quite often there is just not enough hours in the day.            So when time allows there is nothing I like more than a cosy date night at home.

With four small people in our lives, having some time together is precious and something we grab with both hands to make the most of whenever we can. When we do get some much needed wind down time, we like to make sure we have all the essentials.

Obviously we need to decide what we are going to watch, this could be a difficult decision but one thing we can both agree on is that whatever we watch we want good quality viewing.

Click here to view the fabulous range Smart tv panasonic https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/televisions/HDTV.html

Panasonic have a great range of smart televisions that offer superb picture quality with an extensive range of channels and entertainment features.
With screen sizes and budget to suit everyone’s needs.

Moving on to the next essentials.

First ensure you have wonderful company to join you (never a problem here!).

Next up food and drink, I cant think of anything better than a nice glass(or 2) of wine and some yummy chocolate to enjoy.

Candles are a lovely touch and provide a nice warm ambience, during the winter we will often have the fire on too, again adding a warm cosy glow.

Have a choice of programmes/films to watch,In my case I often find tissues are handy too,as we all know I am a soppy devil at heart so if we are watching anything vaguely romantic I am likely to shed a tear or 20!

There you have it, my top tips for a cosy date night in~just make sure you stay awake long enough to enjoy it.
