Capture the memories

I am not a fan of having my picture taken, unless its a selfie that has been attempted many times and edited until I am happy with it.

Our Dad was always snapping photos, random moments when we weren’t looking or weren’t camera ready.

I would often take his phone and say ‘oh dad thats awful, delete that one or please don’t put that on facebook’.

Looking back does any of that matter? Who cares if an image of me was captured when I felt I wasn’t looking my best? Those pictures are moments in time, memories captured right in the moment. Moments we will never get back again.

There comes a time in our lives when photographs are the only visual representation of loved ones and life itself, be in the photos, be happy, be impulsive, be present.

Have those moments to look back on, to laugh, to cry, to remember but mostly to love.❤x

Photographs and Smiles

I love photographs they bring amazing memories that we keep tucked away in our hearts and minds back to life again.

I love how they transport you back in time to places you may not have thought about for some time, days, weeks even years.

They can bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your face just from having a quick glance.

The saying goes that a picture speaks a thousand words and I believe that is so so true.

Today I’m sharing one of my favourite pictures it makes me happy to look at it.

I think this picture says it all~he makes me smile everyday even if I don’t feel like smiling.

Happy Tuesday everyone.❤x

Last first date.

Exactly one year ago, ,I couldn’t find my shoes, didn’t know what to wear, was running late and took the longest route ever as I was about to embark on my last first date.

Exactly one year ago I didn’t know this was to be my last first date but as fate would have it that’s exactly what it was!

May 20th marks the start of a journey, our journey together. So much has happened in this time, it’s gone so quick, the saying goes time flies when your having fun and its certainly fun with lots more exciting adventures to come.

I’ve found my soul~mate,my best friend, all thanks to that ‘crazy little thing called love’ ❤️x

Crazy little Easter Holidays

41DDEF44-9B80-42B9-88E6-C5468502F47BThis last two weeks I have had lots of small people at home, eaten far too much chocolate (me not them!) done less housework than really was necessary and most definitely not had enough sleep!

I won’t lie sometimes the holidays aren’t always easy, life doesn’t stop just because school has-jobs still need to be done, bills still need to be paid, things can and do go wrong (don’t get me started on our very poorly car!) and life’s ups and downs certainly don’t take a few weeks off to give you a break.

I guess that’s the beauty of this crazy life it’s all about balance-the good with the bad,the rough with the smooth. In my eyes as long as the love and laughter outweigh the tears then I’m winning.❤️x

For the last 7 days I took part in a black and white photograph challenge. I love photos they are fantastic memories.

The photos had to be of your own everyday life, no people included.

Here are my photos~each one has a meaning to me. ❤️x

This one was taken whilst out having a walk along the seafront with the kids. Something we all enjoy doing, and a definite advantage of living near the sea. The fact it has my name on it is clearly an added advantage and made the kids laugh when they saw it, when ever we do that walk we look for it.It’s no secret that I’m always running late and am rarely on time! This was sent to me by my very good friend and quite frankly I feel that it sums me up perfectly! A cheeky Costa with a special young lady~we had been out and about shopping and couldn’t resist stopping for coffee and hot chocolate. Our suitcases ready for our fab trip to Venice back in October~just looking at this pic makes me smile, an amazing place to visit with amazing company. We went here in the summer for afternoon tea to celebrate my 40th birthday. It was so nice, the food was beautiful and it was a wonderful setting too.Flowers that I was given to cheer me up, when the sick bug have entered our house and I was feeling pretty rubbish. This is actually a coaster on my coffee table, but I love the words, and I think they are important words to remember and live by.
