It’s been another busy week in the crazy household. Work,School runs, after school clubs, migraines, eye rolling and arguments with the teenagers~all pretty standard stuff really, particularly the eye~rolling because lets face it what do I know?! I am just Mum after all!

However In between those events we managed a date night at our local seaside carvery, some nice but cold walks along the beach and a very late night watching ‘4 weddings and a funeral’whilst drinking wine and playing an intellectual word game similar to scrabble, note the sarcasm when I say intellectual think more adult humour! Hee hee.

Once again its Sunday night, the weekend has disappeared far too quickly and as ever I should by now be fast asleep. Here’s hoping you had a good week and here’s to a fabulous week ahead.❤x

Paris 2018

It’s hard to believe that this time last week we were in the beautiful city of Paris.

I don’t think I have enough words to express just what an amazing weekend it was, I will however try!

We started our journey at 5.20am (big shout out to Mum and Dad for being our taxi driver), and were soon enroute to London to catch the Eurostar.

Before we knew it we were off, I have never travelled on the Eurostar before it was great and we would definitely do so again.

We arrived in Paris at lunchtime and found our way to our hotel. After dropping our luggage off we headed out in search of the Eiffel tower. Fortunately my wonderful other half has a much better sense of direction than me and it wasn’t long before we caught our first glimpse of it, and found ourselves heading towards it.

I simply couldn’t believe how breathtakingly amazing it was and indeed how high it was! As we stood gazing at it my first thoughts were how on earth am I going to manage going up there tomorrow?!

We continued to wander and happened upon a fantastic food market which sold just about every variety of food you can think of. It all smelt amazing. Next we walked over the bridge and looked down over part of the river Seine.

Further across the road we saw beautiful fountains and watched people dancing and rollerblading performing fantastic moves.

We headed back and found a lovely restaurant for dinner before returning back pretty exhausted to the hotel.

On Saturday morning I was slightly nervous aswell as excited for our visit to the Eiffel tower. Fortunately for our legs we had booked elevator tickets! The views just got more and more amazing the higher we went and as we boarded the elevator to take us to the highest point my fear was clearly quite evident as the doors closed a kind American gentleman turned to me and said ‘just imagine everyone is naked, I replied I’m not sure what’s worse hee hee’ the thought of a packed lift of naked strangers was enough to take my mind off of the inevitable thank goodness!

I needn’t of worried it was amazing at the top the clouds looked so so close in comparison to everything else around us,it was a beautifully clear day and we could literally see for miles.

We had pink champagne and big smiles before making our way back down this time using both the elevator and stairs.

By now it was time for lunch and we did of course head to the food market. We then proceeded to walk for what felt like miles in search of an open patisserie so I could get a strawberry tart. Well let me tell you it was so worth the walk,to say it was delicious would be an understatement.

After being out for a long old time we walked back to the hotel, my poor feet where starting to protest so we had a quick rest before going out to see Paris at night.

The atmosphere was fantastic, with lots of people around enjoying the warm evening and of course the Eiffel tower lit up in all its glory. The lights gradually came on and then started twinkling as the sun had set and darkness was surrounding us.

We had a wonderful evening and it was gone midnight when we got back. All too soon it was Sunday morning and time to get ourselves back to England were we arrived home with lots more memories and photographs captured in our hearts and minds.

So there you have it Paris 2018 a weekend I will never forget. However that’s not quite the end of that adventure, keep your eyes peeled for the next chapter still to come.❤x

What is love?

When I was young, love seemed like a fairy tale.

Girl meets boy and they have their very own happy ever after.

As I grew up I began to realise that love doesn’t quite work like that. Love isn’t always hearts and flowers.

Sometimes it’s wiping away tears and giving apologies, because love can be stupid and also foolish too it’s not perfect but when two people love each other they take the good with the bad.

Sometimes it’s staying up all night finding the solution and never letting go.

It’s about believing in each other no matter what and seeing clearly when one of you can’t.

It’s hugs in the rain and kissing away the pain.

Love may be many things and it shows itself in lots of ways. Above all it’s wonderful and caring, kind, patient and always there.

Life is busy, lets face it quite often there is just not enough hours in the day.            So when time allows there is nothing I like more than a cosy date night at home.

With four small people in our lives, having some time together is precious and something we grab with both hands to make the most of whenever we can. When we do get some much needed wind down time, we like to make sure we have all the essentials.

Obviously we need to decide what we are going to watch, this could be a difficult decision but one thing we can both agree on is that whatever we watch we want good quality viewing.

Click here to view the fabulous range Smart tv panasonic https://www.panasonic.com/uk/consumer/televisions/HDTV.html

Panasonic have a great range of smart televisions that offer superb picture quality with an extensive range of channels and entertainment features.
With screen sizes and budget to suit everyone’s needs.

Moving on to the next essentials.

First ensure you have wonderful company to join you (never a problem here!).

Next up food and drink, I cant think of anything better than a nice glass(or 2) of wine and some yummy chocolate to enjoy.

Candles are a lovely touch and provide a nice warm ambience, during the winter we will often have the fire on too, again adding a warm cosy glow.

Have a choice of programmes/films to watch,In my case I often find tissues are handy too,as we all know I am a soppy devil at heart so if we are watching anything vaguely romantic I am likely to shed a tear or 20!

There you have it, my top tips for a cosy date night in~just make sure you stay awake long enough to enjoy it.

Last first date.

Exactly one year ago, ,I couldn’t find my shoes, didn’t know what to wear, was running late and took the longest route ever as I was about to embark on my last first date.

Exactly one year ago I didn’t know this was to be my last first date but as fate would have it that’s exactly what it was!

May 20th marks the start of a journey, our journey together. So much has happened in this time, it’s gone so quick, the saying goes time flies when your having fun and its certainly fun with lots more exciting adventures to come.

I’ve found my soul~mate,my best friend, all thanks to that ‘crazy little thing called love’ ❤️x

It’s Tuesday and right now there is a technology ban in this house~for the kids not me!

All things considered it’s calm and quiet, so I’ve decided to sneak off upstairs and have 5 minutes of peace to have a bath and get ready.

Yes get ready because it’s date night wahoo~it’s been a very busy few weeks and tonight we are child free. As much as I love all four kiddiwinks it’s also nice to just have some time to chill and relax together.

Cue the usual stress of not having anything to wear etc, etc. I’m not looking forward to the task of emptying out my wardrobe only to end up wearing the same thing.

All I do know is that I’ll be wearing heels~with what though is a different matter!

On that note I’ll shall head off to begin the dreaded task and try not to be late for dinner~wish me luck.❤️x

I am that girl

You know your a lucky girl when you have a boyfriend who stays awake until he knows your back safe from a night out, who would do anything for you and your family, who is always there through the good and bad. Wiping the tears away and making you smile again.

He has a smile that alone can brighten even the dullest day.

Soppy as it may sound I don’t care, I’ll happily shout it from the roof tops, I am that girl who has a boyfriend who does all that and more. I’m not sure how I got to be so lucky but one thing I am sure of is that this crazy little thing called love may well be a Crazy journey but as long as we are travelling it together I just know everything will be just fine.❤️x

So far today is going something like this~writing and then accidentally deleting a guest post all about the story of my blog so far.

Deciding that in my ongoing effort to organise at least one part of my life~getting the single bed frame out of the garage unaided whilst avoiding possible mice would be easy (it wasn’t!)

Having a meltdown outside Greggs because my boy decided that the ‘chicken bake’ he wanted to try somehow contained cheese (it didn’t) and nearly losing the plot because he didn’t believe me.

Almost crying when I realised that my girl had made me a coffee which I promptly forgot to drink, cold coffee is no laughing matter in this house especially when your nearly out of milk!

That pretty much sums up my Saturday, except I should add that we did manage a nice walk along the seafront, it was cold and the attitude from my lovely teenage daughter was certainly making its presence felt but it was definitely needed and certainly blew the cobwebs away.( the walk, not her attitude!)

All in all it’s been a good day besides the melt down but let’s face it I think we are all entitled to those and don’t they just go hand in hand with family life sometimes.❤️x

As I’m sure you’ll all very much aware it’s Sunday night already and the end of another weekend.

It’s been a very lovely weekend for us, we were lucky enough to have a night away last night and stayed at a nice hotel.

It was just so nice and relaxing, really nice to have some time on our own to recharge our batteries and chill out.

The view from our room was beautiful, seeing the pier all lit up in the evening was fab and watching the sun rise over it this morning was just stunning.

We braved the strong wind which was freezing and managed to walk along the pier without getting blown away! This was followed by a wander into town for some yummy dinner.

Whilst I managed to finish my Prosecco with raspberry and mint, the pizza beat me (it was delicious though). We headed back to our room for coffee and a box of Toffifee (I had to double check the spelling for that hee hee), which we spotted whilst out and decided we had to have.

After a very nice breakfast we headed home~back to reality with a bump, ironing and fixing the car, no rest for the wicked hey!

I’m now keeping a close eye on the weather and the promise of snow~the sledges are easily accessible in the garage and ready to go at a moments notice should the need arise! I guess as with everything we will just have to wait and see.

Happy Sunday everyone. ❤️x

I am loving this top (sadly it’s not mine!) but I love the words and do you know what it’s so true.

We really should be loving ourselves, having faith in ourselves and believing in ourselves too.

The mind is a very powerful thing and whilst I fully agree that worrying about things that I can’t control really isn’t good it’s hard sometimes to really grasp that and switch off. However it’s definitely something I am working on, I know it won’t be a short journey in fact sometimes the road ahead seems long so long.

I am determined to try and stop worrying and live more in the moment, after all worrying just stops the good times and I know i have lots of good things in my life.

I had the biggest surprise earlier when my wonderful boyfriend arrived outside having mended my broken car, having worked so hard fixing it so it’s drive able for me after someone very kindly hit it and drove off yesterday.

It brought a tear to my eye when I opened the front door and he was sat on the drive way in the car.

At the risk of sounding soppy and I know I’ve said it before but I will say it again~he literally came into my life and turned it upside down in the very best way, he is always here when I or the kids need anything.

He really is the best and I love him lots! ❤️x
