Its Friday hooray,although I am sure you didnt need me to tell you that!
Finally I can say I had some sleep last night which I find is always a bonus.
I wish I could say the sun is shining and its a beautiful day but in reality its cold and far too dark for my liking, but hey you can’t have everything.
In order to get this friday started I must drag myself out of bed and locate some coffee because quite frankly although I am definitely not a morning person with or without it~I simply must have some anyway!

Dear Sleep it would appear you dislike me as much as I dislike you but come on can’t we call a truce or something?
This is getting crazy, the heat clearly isn’t helping but even so can’t you give a girl a break, the occasional reasonable night’s sleep really isn’t much to keep me functioning and even coffee is struggling to help out!
Between lack of shut eye, night terrors and involuntarily falling out of bed I am beginning to start taking this insomnia business personally although quite frankly it’s not me it is you!
I would be quite happy to negotiate with you, and would appreciate your input into this matter.
I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Today’s #humpday is brought to you courtesy of falling out of bed last night! Yes I kid you not at the age of 40yrs after another night terror, I landed quite literally with a bump~ fortunately no real damage occurred to me or the furniture although I am sporting a sore ear and shoulder courtesy of my bedside table that got in the way of said mission to fall out of bed hee hee!
All I can say apart from ouch is that you have to laugh and thank goodness my lovely boyfriend was there too otherwise I would of woken up wondering what on earth was going on, mind you I guess that’s no different to most mornings before I’ve had my coffee! Happy Wednesday everyone.❤x
I’m a little bit late posting this but let’s face it I’m usually late so no surprise there! Anyway last night was a fab night celebrating one of my very good friends birthday. It was one of those nights when you laugh so much you cry, in-fact I drove home with tears running down my face as well as mascara. It was the kind of night where us girls do what we do best~gossip,giggle and talk about anything and everything.
When I got home I was greeted by a lovely sight~my wonderful boyfriend had not only waited up but had made me coffee too. Now let me just point out that the coffee was in fact decaf~well who would of thought it hey?! I’m trying very hard to cut down on caffeine in the evenings after some pretty horrific sleepless nights, so am hoping it may help. Whilst I’m not exactly a fan of that stuff it’s got to be worth a try and lets be honest I couldn’t not drink any coffee in the eves so this has to be a compromise~let’s see.

Last night I couldn’t sleep~my night went something like this~
*Wrote my shopping list and planned all next weeks meals.
*Looked at holidays.
*Checked the bank approximately 3 times in case some extra money magically appeared in between such times (sadly it didn’t!)
*Sold a wardrobe on eBay.
All whilst pretending that the kids school uniform didn’t need ironing and basically hoping that any wrinkles would disappear by morning.
Finally at 12.15am I decided I really should at least get into bed, I decided to catch up on ‘call the midwife’, fell asleep part way through and woke up feeling like I was in a sauna because I forgot to turn the heating down.
Needless to say I’m tired and feeling slightly grumpy. Despite it being my day off I’ve got a list as long as my arm to make my way through.
Fortunately my lovely Mum sent us home with some cakes yesterday, well I say us~technically they were meant to be for the kids lunch boxes but I’ve decided to ‘liberate’a few and shall have them with my countless cups of coffee later.

This sleep business or indeed lack of really isn’t much fun. Just lately it’s lured me into a false sense of security I’ve been happily going to bed earlier and pretty much having some good nights sleep.
However last night had different ideas for me and I awoke after probably only an hours sleep having had one of the most frightening night terrors I’ve had in a very long time.
I was screaming (goodness knows what the neighbours must think!) and had thrown the pillows and duvet all over the place. I couldn’t get back to sleep for a while because my heart was racing it really was horrible. Tonight I’m finding it hard to nod off, so I decided to do one of my favourite things and write. I find it calming and it also clears my head.
I’m hoping that having done that and after a few pages of my book, tonight will be better.

Last week seems to have blurred into one pretty much~I found myself swopping my favourite perfume for that rather potent fragrance which is vapour rub, practically gave up coffee for water and was given a valuable reminder of how important it is to do ones pelvic floor exercises regularly as every time I opened my mouth I was coughing and spluttering for England!!
All of those things didn’t make for a great combination, I know I’m not alone and lots of others have been suffering with the awful flu/virus thing that’s doing the rounds.
I’ve spent more time sleeping this week than I’m sure I have put together in the last few months and am certainly looking forward to feeling human again.
Not sure there are really any positive points to come from this apart from losing a few pounds and having a full body dettox~no caffeine and no food! However it just goes to show that having a teenager in the house can have its advantages at times~my girl has cooked dinners, tidied up and been shopping with her brother for me so I definitely cannot complain about that.

So tonight despite not wanting to go to slimming world at all for my Wednesday weigh in~I was thrilled to find out I have lost another 1lb which takes me to a total of 7.5lbs off.
I had literally convinced myself that I must of put on because it’s been such a busy week with two birthdays to celebrate which of course included cake,maybe some pizza and possibly some wine too!!
Despite all that I have changed my eating habits and am in a much better routine of having breakfast,lunch and dinner and not snacking in between. Believe it or not I am organising and planning my meals which definitely makes it easier to stay on track.
I’m also setting myself targets in the evenings to have everything done by 9pm and if it’s not done then it has to be left until the next day. This is so I can try and relax and get myself into bed at a better time and hopefully get some better quality sleep.
I think the sleep part might be the hardest part to crack but hey ho, one step at a time and all that jazz. Rome wasn’t built in a day!
I’ve now got to clear my bed which has pretty much the entire contents of my wardrobe thrown all over it because I was trying on outfits for our works Christmas do on Friday.
On a positive note now I’m half a stone lighter I have a few more possible outfits to chose from~here’s to the next half stone.❤️x

As I get dare I say it (older!) I find birthdays are far more exciting when they are some one else’s!!
I would quite happily stay aged 21yrs for a few more years thank you very much!
This week we have two special birthdays coming up, today being the first one and it’s my lovely boyfriends turn. Of course I was totally organised and didn’t stay up half the night trying to locate the presents I had hidden carefully and once found them wrapping them up,oh I lie that obviously happened, let’s face it though no one would expect anything less by now.
It was a lovely day, we managed to meet up for lunch and then had a fab after school get together for tea and birthday cake.
My wonderful parents babysat so we could also have the evening together too.
I really ought to be asleep by now but as ever I’m wide awake so decided to finish this post before attempting a few hours shut eye in the vain attempt of losing the rather fetching bags that I’m currently sporting underneath my eyes!
On that note I wish you all a good nights sleep at least in the morning it will be Friday~wahoo.❤️x
